WEB Berhalter confirmed he was in discussions with Mexican side Club America, one of the biggest teams in North America, when he got an offer to replace Bruce Arena as the head coach of the United States National Team in December 2018.
WEB Berhalter's removal follows a disappointing finish for the USMNT at this summer's Copa America tournament. The team was eliminated in the quarterfinals by eventual champion Brazil. Now a race is on to hire a new coach.
